From the Arkansas/Missouri State line south to the Southern Arkansas-Lousiana border, the Arkansas Traverse is an experience to remember.

This five-day adventure travels 472 miles climbing 15,783 feet of elevation from the Arkansas-Missouri border south through the Ozark-St. Francis National Forest to the Arkansas Delta Region ending at the Arkansas/Louisiana border.

You will never experience Arkansas like you will on this route.

Stage 1 - Arkansas-Missouri Line to Ozark/Cass (92 Miles)

  • Little Sugar Oz Trails & Razorback Greenway to Bentonville, Rogers, Springdale, Fayetteville

  • Ozark Highlands Trail to Cass

Stage 2 - Ozark/Cass to Camp Mitchell (114 Miles)

  • Ozark Highlands Trail to Russellville

  • Follow the Arkansas River through Petit Jean State Park

Stage 3 - Petit Jean Mountain to Humphrey (119 Miles)

  • Follow the Arkansas River Trail to Little Rock then to Bayou Meto State Game Area
